RAPID CITY S.D. (KEVN) – Three companies brought in different types of smart meters to Rapid City that took credit and debit cards as well as the traditional coins.
The city has extended the pay station from one of the companies until the end of October. This station allows drivers to put in their license plate number, and pay for their amount of time needed. In the meantime, the city will decide if they prefer to implement smart meters throughout the parking garage or bring in more of the mobile pay stations. The city is asking for public feedback to aid in their decision.
